Sisters In Gaming NavMesh NPC/AI System With Spider!

Welcome! If you've ever needed an NPC, character or object to move around the scene in various ways, this is the pack for you. You can configure an object to follow a specific player, follow a specific object, follow a random player, or move about and act randomly.

This is the same wonderful script as our other NPC/AI asset, but now with an adorable little spooky fuzzy spider crawling around! Just in time for your mothers birthday!

The script uses custom inspectors to configure the AI of the object, which logically lays out the settings needed for the object to move. For a Free NPC AI (where the object roams and performs random animations), we use a custom method and Manual network synchronization that greatly increases performance over the network. For a Player or Object Follower AI, we use the standard Continuous network synchronization in order to track the target player or object in real time. There is also the ability to configure the AI script to avoid specific object(s) based on the object name. When encountered, the AI script will run away in a random direction to a set random distance. Script will also play a sound at a random pitch at a random time, all selectable before upload.

The scripts used in this package (C#/UdonSharp) are well organized and well documented. We've also included our Spider model, animations and animation controller as a sample NPC. And finally, there is a sample scene in which to test the AI script.

What you need:

  • Unity 2019.4.31f1
  • VRC Creator Companion with UdonSharp loaded into your project
  • Your scene to have normal Mesh Renderers set to static for the NPC to navigate and avoid and for Navmesh baking.
  • A solid understanding of Unity, and a basic understanding of how Navmesh works is a bonus. A basic tutorial on how to bake a Navmesh can be found Here, but a more thorough walk-through of our content will be coming soon.



Who we are:

We are two 3D content producers specializing in unique models, avatar accessories,VR worlds and experiences, and beautifully done, well written and documented code. Ms Malvolio does the 3D modeling work and texturing. Corina does the programming. We have released VR Chat game worlds, avatar prefabs, furniture packs, small models, and some small artwork. Our goal is to make others enjoy working in Unity as much as we do, and have something cool to show for it!
