Hair clip extravaganza!

Needing just that little extra to punch up your avatar? Have hair and need to tie it down? Don't have hair and want to make up for that by gluing something to your hairless scalp? Then these might just be the clips for you! Modelled entirely from virgin, hand picked, organically grown and assembled verticies in a local Blender sweatshop by our crack team of novice polygon wranglers, these lovely little clips with real open/close functionality are sure to dazzle even the hardest, darkest of hearts.

Each of our fine selection comes complete with all versions of that clip style included in one clean, quiet, and well behaved Unity file. Don't use Unity? No problem! These also come with the raw FBX file, and textures. A simple blendshape controls the open/close of the clip itself, allowing you to animate a smooth sequence, or just position things exactly how you want and need!

Happy little features:

  • Clip itself will open fully on a single blendshape (except for the Subtle Pride clip),
  • Each clip uses a single material.
  • High detail and low poly shapes for performance.
  • Simple, thoughtful UV map layout for easy retexturing.
  • Unity package prepared with prefabs and materials for every variety already setup and good to drag into your scene!

How to use:

  • Every avatar is different so we cannot give thorough instructions on how to apply or use these, but what follows is a general guide on how to open, apply, and utilize one of our clips onto a basic avatar within Unity for either VRChat or ChilloutVR!
    • After your purchase you will need to download the Unity Package for your clip.
    • Open Unity, and have the scene open that you want to put your clip into (this will have your avatar in it)
    • Drag the Unity Package for the hair clip into the Assets drawer, or double click the Unity Package and Unity will ask if you want to import the contents.
    • After importing is finished, within the Assets drawer at the bottom of Unity you will find a folder marked "Hair Clips" and under this folder you will find an additional folder containing your purchased hair clip.
    • In this folder you will need to simply click and drag into your scene the prefab (named something similar to Aligator Clip Crown Metal) into the main window of Unity.
    • Position the clip where you want it on your avatar.
    • Within the hierarchy in Unity drag the hair clip onto the nearest bone on your avatar.
  • Further help can be obtained by contacting us on Discord or via one of the many various Youtube tutorials.
